The Team
The Employment and Labour Market Services Division supports all British Columbians in achieving sustainable employment. To help those in need find and maintain employment, the division works with contracted service providers to provide job search resources, employment planning, skills assessment, training, work experience and more.
The Role
The Team and Contract Lead (TCL) - Regional Operations is responsible for the performance of WorkBC services in communities across British Columbia, including WorkBC Employment Services, WorkBC Apprentice Services, WorkBC Assistive Technology Services and referrals to Community and Employer Partnership (CEP) projects. The TCL provides leadership and guidance to their team who are supporting the day-to-day activities of WorkBC operations. The TCL ensures quality contract management, planning, and budget management at the regional and local level.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in a related field (such as public administration, social sciences or commerce), and one (1) year *related experience; OR
- Post-secondary diploma in a related field (such as public administration, social sciences or commerce) and two (2) years *related experience; OR
- Certificate in a related field (such as public administration, social sciences or commerce) and three (3) years *related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
*Related experience must include a combination of the following:
- Experience working with WorkBC employment services and the relationship to labour market and other employment programs and services.
- Experience supervising staff and/or leading project teams.
Preferences may be given to candidate with the following:
- Experience working with government’s core policy and procedures as it relates to contract management.
- Experience working effectively in a team environment and building relationships with partners including Indigenous Communities.
- Experience leading and managing organizational changes.
- Experience in budget and financial management including budget development, forecasting and monitoring.

Flexible work options are available, this position may be able to work up to five days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
