The Team
The Corporate Planning & Priorities (CPP) team is a dynamic unit dedicated to corporate planning, change management, communications, training, business operations, and performance. This multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts supports the Ministry, Division, and Branch in implementing strategic priorities and ensuring the delivery of critical services for children, youth, young adults, and families across B.C. As a newly established team, the CPP team is committed to fostering collaboration, enabling service excellence, and making a meaningful impact through comprehensive support for staff and leaders. The Role
The Manager of the Corporate Planning & Priorities team will lead a group focused on creating and implementing change management processes, communication strategies, engagement plans, and top-tier training and development tools for the branch. This role is integral in ensuring the Division’s mission to support children, youth, young adults, and families in B.C. through inclusive and effective communication and training initiatives. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Degree in business administration, public administration, communications or other relevant discipline and a minimum of 3 years of recent, related experience*; OR
- Diploma in business administration, public administration, communications or other relevant discipline and a minimum of 4 years of recent, related experience*; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Related experience must include:
- Developing and implementing a range of partners and change management strategies and methodologies.
- Developing and implementing strategic communications and leading partner issues management.
- Managing multiple assignments or projects or leading a component of a significant project that affects many external partners.
- Building partnerships and managing relationships with senior level internal and external partners.
- Leading and managing a team of multidisciplinary staff, managing performance and assignment of workload.
- Experience in transformative organization change.
- Preparation of strategic briefing materials for senior officials.
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Five (5) or more years of related experience.
- 3 years of recent experience in large scale organizational change management and issues strategy planning.
- 3 years of recent experience in partner engagement.
- 3 years of recent experience managing complex files and projects.
- 3 years of recent experience managing diverse workloads proactively, effectively, independently and under pressure.
- Prosci Change Management certification.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
