The Team
Join BC Timber Sales (BCTS) in the Peace-Liard Business Area, where we’re passionate about shaping the future of sustainable forestry! You’ll join a group of up to 46 dedicated professionals who bring a blend of experience and fresh perspectives to forest sector safety, Indigenous reconciliation, and sustainable forest management. We work together to auction a significant portion of the province’s annual timber volume, providing essential market data that positively impacts communities, public forests, and the economy. The Role
The Woodlands Manager oversees all field forestry operations, ensuring they align with provincial regulations, safety protocols, and best practices. As a key leader, you’ll manage a team, monitor project progress, and work closely with management to drive strategic initiatives. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- At least five (5) years of program and related forestry experience and a university degree or diploma in a field related to forestry or resource management or a forestry related professional designation (e.g., RPF, RFT).
- Experience developing, managing and delivering resource management programs.
- Experience in program administration including allocating resources, leading & coaching diverse teams, supervising staff, strategic business planning, and procurement & financial management.
- Must possess at minimum a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence that does not limit or restrict the ability to conduct the duties of the job.

About this Position:
This position can be based out of either of the locations listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill temporary and permanent vacancies within the BC Timber Sales Peace-Liard Business Area, Dawson Creek or Fort St John.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
This position is excluded from union membership.
