Description
The Team
As a member of the established Accounts Receivable team in Accounting Operations, you'll join a cohesive group of four, including a Team Lead and two CSAS administrators, dedicated to supporting the ministry by recording and collecting debts. Working closely with revenue and accounts payable clerks, the team values collaboration and meeting tight deadlines, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial processes in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The Role
As an Accounts Receivable/Finance Clerk, you’ll be a key player in supporting the Litigation & Collection Administrator with tracking, processing, and reconciling payments, as well as maintaining accurate financial records. You’ll help ensure timely notifications of outstanding debts for clients by reviewing account collectability, preparing billings, and setting up accounts receivable. This is a great opportunity to expand your experience in government finance while making a positive impact on clients through accurate, timely service.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience working with MS Excel and MS Word.
- One (1) year of experience working with computerized systems.
- Experience in accounts receivable, or accounts payable, or financial administration.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience in accounts receivable.
- Completed post-secondary accounting courses.
- Experience with MIS-SWS and ICM computer systems.
- Experience with Corporate Financial System and Gentax computer systems.

This position has full time on-site requirements.
This is a temporary opportunity until January 24, 2025. This position may be extended or become permanent.
