ISL 27R - Senior Security Analyst

The Team
The OCIO Public/Private Cloud teams are dedicated to providing secure, government-compliant, and managed access to public cloud service providers and container services. The Public Cloud team includes 10 staff members, while the Private Cloud team has 20 staff members. Together, the group consists of Platform Administrators, Full-Stack Developers, Service Designers, and Scrum Masters, who work collaboratively to ensure robust cloud solutions. As part of this team, you’ll support Ministry clients and Security Teams, focusing on access management, training, and security domain guidance.

The Role
As the Senior Security Analyst, you will take the lead in researching, developing, and implementing security best practices within Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and managed container service platforms. You will collaborate closely with Ministry clients and Security Teams, providing expertise in access management, training, and security support. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

• Professional designation as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional or Certified Information Security Manager, or equivalent; AND,
• Master’s degree in a computer science related field and two (2) years of related experience; OR,
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science related field and three (3) years of related experience; OR,
• Diploma in a computer science related field and four (4) years related experience; OR,
• Certificate or coursework in a computer science related field and five (5) years related experience; OR,
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience must include the following:

• Experience with all aspects of IT security including current technologies and best practices.
• Experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance and problem resolution of hardware, software, operating systems, and network components in cloud environments.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

• Experience with a security focus in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services environments.
• Experience with other public clouds such as GCP
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or equivalent
