The Team
The Asset Investment Recovery (AIR) team plays a key role in managing surplus government assets, preparing them for resale to the public. AIR Victoria is an established team, comprised of around 10-12 dedicated employees, including stock workers, listing agents, warehouse managers, and executive staff. This unique group has been working for decades to support ministries and government entities by responsibly handling asset disposal while creating public access to these resources. The Role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for receiving and preparing government surplus assets to be sold, making a positive difference by providing the public with opportunities to purchase these items. This is hands-on, dynamic work that keeps each day engaging and productive. With room for growth and a supportive environment, this position offers a unique way to make an impact within a collaborative team
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 graduation or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a warehouse or similar inventory control environment.
- Minimum one (1) year experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel, Internet, basic web site skills and e-mail.
Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:
- Experience with small motor repair.
- Experience with customer service in a retail environment.
- WSBC Forklift Operation Certificate
- Experience working with materials handling equipment
Provisos
- Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License
- Willing and able to frequently move heavy weights, (Up to 30 Kg) e.g. boxes, furniture, large electronics, etc.

This is an Auxiliary position until 09/30/2025. This position may be extended.
This position has on site requirements in Victoria
