Overview of your role:

The Manager, Accounts Payable and General Services manages and oversees all management-related activities for the department. They are responsible for optimizing the efficiency of accounts payable and general services processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and implementing solutions.

This person develops internal policies and work procedures, ensures that technical and functional documentation are maintained, and coordinates communication throughout the organization. The manager ensures that a strong internal control environment is maintained for the accounts payable department.

Finally, the person acts as a liaison with the company's internal and external clients.

You will continue to make a difference:

  • Ensure that tasks related to accounts payable and general services processing are completed.
  • Plan and coordinate the activities of the accounts payable team (8 employees including a team leader) and general services (1).
  • Improve processes related to accounts payable and general services activities.
  • Lead accounts payable activities for the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Manage human resources under his/her supervision, including team performance management.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting
  • 5 years of job-related experience
  • Experience in an accounts payable department
  • Bilingualism (French/English)
  • ERP system implementation
  • Knowledge of AS400 and/or Oracle Fusion (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of financial and administrative processes related to accounts payable
  • Experience in team management
  • Good understanding of financial risks and internal controls
  • Analytical skills and judgment for problem-solving
  • Excellent organizational and priority management skills; Professionalism and diplomacy; Rigor and precision
