The Pricing and Commercial Strategy Advisor plays a key role within the commercial strategy team. With extensive business experience combined with technical expertise, the Pricing and Commercial Strategy Advisor is responsible for implementing various commercial strategies. They plan projects, communicate with different stakeholders, and perform the necessary follow-ups to meet deadlines. They are also responsible for post-implementation follow-ups and communicating successes or areas for improvement to management and business partners.

The Pricing and Commercial Strategy Advisor is also responsible for analyzing and communicating elements that impact the company's results. They will be a key player in the execution of budgetary and strategic planning processes. Their mandate will be to establish various sales and pricing assumptions related to financial results based on existing or upcoming trends that may impact the company. To do this, they will need to work with different stakeholders and available data to establish assumptions based on precise information.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement various commercial strategies

  • Plan the implementation of commercial strategies, define success steps, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Communicate and promote commercial strategies to impacted groups and potential impacts for the company
  • Perform analyses and coordinate the implementation of post-implementation follow-up reports to define and monitor the success levels of commercial strategies
  • Analyze historical data to identify business opportunities (commercial strategies)

Execution of budgetary and strategic planning processes

  • Analyze historical data to identify main trends
  • Obtain additional information from other departments
  • Establish and communicate defined assumptions based on collected information and the impacts this may have on the company
  • Work closely with business partners (sales, marketing, operations, finance)

Ensure a good process of maintenance and optimization of pricing structures

  • Make recommendations on potential process improvements and methodology
  • Evolve pricing methodologies over time
  • Plan the execution of price maintenance and deadlines

Develop new tools/models for analysis and pricing

  • Price calculator
  • Requirements for reporting needs
  • Automation of complex or repetitive processes
  • Define and support the IT team in relation to department needs
  • Test new IT systems

REQUIREMENTS

  • Synthesis ability

  • Ability to maintain constructive interpersonal relationships focused on collaboration and teamwork
  • Excellent organizational and priority management skills
  • Ability to manage financial information related to commercial agreements
  • Ability to work in ambiguity
  • Ability to make connections between different variables
  • Demonstrate rigor and precision
  • Bilingual in oral and written (French/English)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and experience creating visually and verbally appealing reports
  • Ability to work with multiple software, databases, and information sources (SQL, Power BI)
  • Advanced knowledge and practice of Excel: complex formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, multivariable charts, macros
