YOUR MISSION
You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing parts inventory for various departments, including crushing operations, asphalt plant, garage, and truck fleet. More specifically, you will have to:
- Purchase and manage parts for crushing operations, asphalt plant, garage, and trucks;
- Communicate with suppliers to negotiate prices, conditions and plan delivery schedules;
- Maintain accurate records of all purchases to ensure the level of quantity of parts;
- Organize and plan mechanics for repairs and maintenance;
- Coordinate and schedule appointments with subcontractors as needed;
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid parts shortages and ensure rapid reorganization of parts;
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to understand parts requirements and ensure availability;
- Resolve issues related to backorders, late deliveries, and discrepancies with suppliers;
- Prepare and submit purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of parts;
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the parts room or warehouse.
YOUR DNA
- You have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position;
- Have experience in parts sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management;
- Knowledge of equipment and parts used in crushing, asphalt and trucking operations is an asset;
- You have an ability to communicate and make your points when necessary;
- You have a good command of the Microsoft Office suite;
- You have the ability to work on several files simultaneously and meet deadlines;
- People management skills are an asset;
- You pay great attention to detail.
