C.U.P.E. LOCAL #1176 (CUSTODIAL STAFF)
THE BLUEWATER DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
IS CURRENTLY SEEKING QUALIFIED APPLICANTS
FOR THE FOLLOWING TEMPORARY PART-TIME POSITION
Position:
Temporary Part-Time Custodian (8 hours per week)
Tuesday to Friday, Afternoon Shift (3:30 p.m. start)
Reports to:
Head Custodian/Assistant Head Custodian/School Principal/Supervisor, Plant Operations
Note:
CUPE members must abide by all articles in the CUPE Local 1176 Collective Agreement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To abide by all Custodial related Plant practices and procedures, as well as follow all Board policies and procedures for Board Employees.
To complete all assigned tasks.
To be responsible for notifying the Head Custodian (HC) and/or Assistant Head Custodian (AHC) of repairs required to the building and equipment which are beyond your qualifications.
To be responsible for equipment checks, minor maintenance and repairs.
To be responsible for notifying the AHC, and/or HC of security breaches, mechanical or electrical failure or any other unusual circumstances.
To draw from stock materials needed in meeting duties.
To receive delivery of supplies and equipment.
To work closely with our community education partners to help ensure the smooth operation of their events.
To perform any other custodial duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
A Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
In compliance with Article 12 of the current Collective Agreement.
Please note that positions at this worksite are affected by Investments in System Priorities Funding (ISPF).
