Description
The successful applicant will work in compliance with all relevant and applicable legislation and Hospital Policies and Procedures, will practice the Bluewater Health Standards of Performance Excellence and will fulfill their role within the Attendance Support Program parameters. The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Graduate of an approved Food and Nutrition Management Program at a Community College or a University Graduate of a Food and Nutrition program required
• Membership to CSNM or eligible for membership required
• Completion of an Advanced Food Handler Certification Program required
• Previous management experience in healthcare and unionized environment preferred
• Knowledge of CBORD and CERNER/Oracle computer programs preferred
• Proficient computer skills required
• Working knowledge of special diets required
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to focus on priorities and activities to meet the day to day requirements and deadlines
• Provides supervision, direction, support, guidance, and/or education to Food Service staff as needed and in accordance with the policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the directors / managers of Nutrition and Food Service
• Collaborates and engages constructively with others, to be part of the Food Service Management team, to work together and promote a positive climate, to resolve conflict and to create an alignment within Nutrition and Food Services and other programs within Bluewater Health
• Develops Nutrition and Food Services staff through coaching, managing performance and mentoring in order to achieve higher-level goals and develop new skills/competencies. Participates in employee performance development plans.
• Provide quality, patient-centered nutrition and meal service by ensuring quality and food safety in the delivery of services, and complying with processes, regulations and legislation. Maintains systems that enhance quality and maximize efficiencies with audits, surveys, patient preferences, and food quality checks
• Works collaboratively with the Registered Dietitian team and Management
• Supports the implementation of new technologies, equipment, programs and solutions across the organization
