Responsibilities

  • Act as a thought leader and advocate for GenAI, sharing knowledge and insights to business stakeholders including senior executives.
  • Leads discovery process with stakeholders to identify business requirements and expected outcomes and design GenAI prototypes and POCs to demonstrate solution feasibility and value.
  • Design and develop GenAI solutions that include data ingestion, pre-processing, search and retrieval, Retrieval Augmented Generation(RAG), MML model development, fine-tuning and prompt engineering
  • Working closely with other members of data science, ML/AI Ops, technology teams in the design, development, and implementation of the GenAI model solutions
  • Collaborate closely with product teams, business stakeholders, ML/AI Ops, machine learning engineers and software engineers to ensure smooth integration of GenAI models into production systems.
  • Write and maintain comprehensive documentation of modeling process and procedures for model governance and knowledge sharing.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed and based on your career growth ambition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics, Computational linguistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of professional hands-on experience leveraging large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop data-driven tactical and strategic analytics and insights using ML, NLP, computer vision solutions.
  • Demonstrated 1+ years hands-on experience with Python, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Spark or similar statistical tools. Expert in python programming.
  • 1+ years hands-on experience developing natural language processing (NLP) models, ideally with transformer architectures.
  • 1+ years of experience with implementing information search and retrieval at scale, using a range of solutions ranging from keyword search to semantic search using embeddings.
  • Knowledge of developing or tuning Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI (GAI)
  • Knowledge of NLP, LLMs (extractive and generative), fine-tuning and LLM model development. Familiar with higher level trends in LLMs and open-source platforms

Compensation and Benefits:

$100,800.00 - $187,200.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
