Continuing Education, After School/Night School Technological Education Teacher

The Teacher will deliver Technological Education to current grade 9 students through a blended learning model.

Program Dates: Week of Feb 3, 2025 to Week of June 9, 2025

Available Position(s):

Subject to annual budget approval and/or annual system organization and/or sufficient program enrolment, the Board intends to offer the following Technological courses:

Holy Trinity

TAS1O -Blended Learning with 4 in class practicums

TXJ1O - Mon, Wed 3:15pm - 4:45pm, Blended Learning

TTJ1O - Mon, Wed 3:15pm - 4:45pm, Blended Learning

TCJ1O - Mon, Wed 3:15pm - 4:45pm, Blended Learning

Assumption College

TFJ1O - Mondays, 3:15pm - 6:15pm, Blended Learning

TXJ1O - Mondays, 3:15pm - 6:15pm, Blended Learning

TTJ1O - Mondays, 3:15pm - 6:15pm, Blended Learning

St. John’s College

TEJ1O - Tuesdays, 4:00pm - 7pm, Blended Learning

Qualification(s):

In order to be considered, an applicant must hold the basic qualifications at the time of application:

Basic: Based on course - as noted above

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience

Other:

Demonstrated ability to implement individualized programming both in terms of content and instructional strategies based on the diagnosis needs of the individual student

Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, curriculum development and assessment/evaluation practices

Demonstrated understanding of effective assessment practices (e.g., Growing Success); and

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

Strong understanding of Brightspace D2L and eLearning

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Teacher will be responsible for planning, instructing, assessing and reporting the Technological Education course content.
