Brockton School is a nondenominational coeducational Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, independent school, located in North Vancouver, British Columbia. English/Humanities - Middle School (Gr 6/7) Full Time - 1.0 FTE 2024-25 School Year
Brockton School is seeking a Full Time Middle School ( IB Middle Years Program - MYP) English and Humanities teacher. The teacher will work collaboratively with members of the MYP team, the Grade 6-7 POD team, the Humanities Department Chair, and with other members of Faculty/Staff. As a member of the teaching team, this teacher will report to the Divisional Director and collaborate closely with the MYP Coordinator.
The English and Humanities focus will be on English (IB Language and Literature) and/or Social Studies (IB Individuals and Societies). The successful candidate will work within the strategically designed POD program (transition from elementary to high school) and will work collaboratively with teaching partners.
Requirements:
? BC Teacher Certification (Teachers Regulation Branch) or alternative as supported by the BC Teachers Regulation Branch.
? Interest in being part of a dynamic and visionary IB school community.
Ideal characteristics:
? Experience in teaching (or demonstrated ability to teach) IB MYP coursework
? Experience in bringing a diversity of voices and worldviews to classroom material and learning experiences, including Indigenous, local, and global perspectives.
? Willingness to collaborate with colleagues to build Unit plans
? 3-5 years of successful teaching experience

Salary Range: Brockton Faculty Salary Grid
Example - For TQS Category 5 (Step 0) $63,302 to $104,047 (Step 10 ) per annum
