ATV Electrical Design Technician

We are looking for an Electrical Design Technician to report to the Team Leader - Can-Am ATV Engineering. In this role, you will have a major impact in supporting the design, development and validation of electrical and mechatronic systems for our ATV recreational vehicles.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Perform electrical design in collaboration with engineers and technicians.
  • Coordinate and participate in the production of electrical schematics, component lists, drawings and their timely release.
  • Draw up plans for all projects under development in the department.
  • Support the workshop in assembling and diagnosing prototype vehicles.
  • Analyze technical problems, define and propose appropriate corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with and support other departments (Service, Production, etc.).

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • D.E.C. in electrical or electrotechnical engineering or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge and skills in electrical engineering, electromechanics, electrical circuit design and wired logic.
  • At ease in an environment where technical solutions are not known, where the path is not mapped out.
  • Autonomous, responsible, resourceful and a good team player.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English (written and spoken).
  • *English is required for this position, as the person will have to read technical documentation in English and communicate with certain international suppliers.
