Buyer, Vehicle Accessories Development

We are looking for a buyer for vehicle accessories development, reporting to the vehicle accessories development team leader. You will support the development of new accessories for all BRP platforms. Thanks to your expertise, you will influence procurement decisions based on a number of factors, such as the manufacturing capabilities of suppliers. You will be involved in negotiating the costs, deadlines and terms related to your product portfolio with your suppliers. The buyer will develop procurement strategies and obtain parts at the best quality/price/time ratio according to the strategies determined.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Coordinate the development of BRP accessories under your supervision, from the creation of the accessory to its delivery to the distribution centre.
  • Ensure communication throughout the development process between the supplier, the engineering team and the planning and quality assurance departments.
  • Develop accessory sourcing strategies by analyzing current or potential supplier ecosystems.
  • Select suppliers in accordance with existing procedures.
  • Ensure that the selected suppliers have the necessary capabilities to meet the required dates, quantities and engineering/QA specifications.
  • Manage financial data, such as project margins, for projects under your responsibility.
  • Contribute to the development of an effective accessory supply network.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement and/or project management.
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Windows software (Word, Excel, MS Project) and SAP.
  • Good organization, analytical skills, rigour and autonomy.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, good communication and negotiation skills.
  • A passion for project management and manufacturing processes.
  • Availability to travel to suppliers.
  • A passion for BRP products!
