Carbon Analyst, Lean Value Generation

We are looking for a Carbon Emissions Analyst to support our  CO2P (Material Cost and Carbon Emissions Optimization Program) by analyzing and reporting on carbon emissions and helping to implement strategies for reduction. The Carbon Emissions Analyst will support the Director of the Lean Value Generation Program by providing in-depth analysis of carbon emissions data and developing strategies to reduce our environmental impact. 

The Lean Value Generation team oversees the strategic development and implementation of initiatives to reduce material costs and carbon emissions

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: 

  • Collect, analyze, and report on carbon emissions data across various departments. 
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive emissions tracking and reporting systems to monitor progress towards reduction goals. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement carbon reduction strategies in line with lean principles and identify opportunities for process improvements that can lead to reduced carbon emissions. 
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders, clearly communicating emissions data and reduction strategies. 
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to compare the company’s emissions performance against industry standards and best practices. 
  • Assist in training and educating staff on carbon emissions reduction practices and sustainability initiatives.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in carbon emissions analysis, environmental management or a similar role. 
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, software and data management (e.g., Powerpoint, Excel, environmental management systems, such as Carbmee). 
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and carbon accounting standards. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
