Category Procurement Specialist

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to enhance the skills and knowledge of procurement coordinator and other team members.
  • Collaborate with category owners and managers to align sourcing and procurement plans with global business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and performance.
  • Lead strategic projects.
  • Risk management initiatives and provide clear visibility into procurement challenges and opportunities.
  • Aid in finding cost reduction opportunities.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and coordinate with legal and strategic sourcing teams to secure comprehensive agreements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and ensure cohesive implementation of procurement practices across the team.
  • Identify and proactively resolve supply chain issues, collaborating with procurement coordinators and managers to develop action plans.
  • Influence stakeholders on supply chain and sourcing initiatives.
  • Understand sourcing market landscape.
  • Understand and evaluate the impacts of both strategic and tactical decisions on the short-term strategy of the supply base.

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related areas.
  • Strong expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent mentoring, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP and IBP is an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English; Spanish is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
