Description
We are looking for a Body Designer reporting to the Head of Body and Decal Design to help us develop bodies for vehicle protection in the transport sector. In this role, you will have a major impact on improving crate quality, innovating new product designs and influencing the quality of delivered products, in cooperation with engineering, logistics, industrial engineering, production and many other departments.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Produce the technical drawings necessary to manufacture BRP vehicle bodies.
Participate in the development of components and monitor prototype manufacturing.
Collaborate with the team's designers and engineers during the problem-solving process.
Ensure the quality of the work performed.
Manage material lists using SmarTeam and SAP.
Communicate with different groups within the organization and suppliers regarding technical items.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A technical college diploma in mechanical engineering with a focus on design or equivalent.
All relevant experience will be considered.
The ability to communicate in English and French, both spoken and written, in simple and routine situations with internal and external stakeholders outside of Quebec or unilingual English-speaking on a daily basis
Must read technical and regulatory documentation not available in French
Ability to use specialized software and tools not available in French
Knowledge of CATIA software.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
