Description
We’re looking for a digital designer, reporting to the design team leader, to help bring the design studio’s projects to life. In this role, you will have a direct impact on innovative and spectacular concepts! You’ll be at the forefront of shaping products at the digital 3D shaping stage.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Create digital styling models from sketches or preliminary 3D files using Alias Surface software.
- Develop proportions, refine surface quality and propose alternatives to designers.
- Participate in the styling development of recreational vehicles and/or their accessories.
- Integrate technical and ergonomic envelope parameters.
- Prepare 2D presentation material and real-time 3D visualization using VRED Design software.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- A bachelor’s degree in transportation design or product design.
- Training as a digital sculptor, digital designer or surface modeller using Alias Surface software.
- Experience designing vehicles or products with complex shapes.
- The ability to communicate in French and English in order to collaborate with our external teams.
- Advanced knowledge of design fundamentals: proportions, mass/volume, dynamics and silhouette.
- Knowledge of light and shadow principles, and parallax effects (Mickey Ear, parallax crossover).
- Knowledge of design trends and surface treatments.
- Keeping up to date with the latest digital modelling methodologies.
