Director Global Security

BRP is looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing a Global Security function, programs, including People Security, Physical Security, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, and Investigations.

The director will execute and manage Global Security across the company, incorporating all countries' facilities through the regional leadership, considering relevant local laws, regulations, and standards, and covering all BRP locations and functions, including plants, warehouses, shipping sites, offices, and testing centers and the supply chain.

Comfortable leading global teams and projects and able to communicate on all levels in the organization, the director of Global Security ensures to provide Global Security alignment and clear objectives, identifies priorities and mitigation strategies, reduce BRP risks, tracks and monitor key performance indicators, and influence organization security culture towards a proactive approach.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Manage the centralization and integration of worldwide security operations under Global Security
  • Pursue the security risk assessment of Corporate, region/sites, projects, and existing security programs and policies to establish an appropriate roadmap, including required investments
  • Set Global Security strategy, objectives, and governance
  • Identify global savings opportunities and leverage synergies within existing groups
  • Lead Global Security operations and manage budget 
  • Lead the BRP Emergency Response and Incident & Crisis Management Process and provide support and training to Corporate and operations.
  • Ensure of an appropriate level of security intel
  • Ensure of an international network for Security resources 
  • Keeps informed on industry best practices
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with government agencies

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related areas such as Criminology, Security, Risk Management, H&S or other related area. Graduate Degree or attendance to a recognized leadership program preferred but not required.
  • Previous corporate international/national security leadership experience and extensive fieldwork experience required. Experience in the centralization of a worldwide security operation, involving change management preferred.
  • Prior experience in law enforcement, military, government security/intelligence, or corporate security preferred but not required. 
  • Knowledge of Mexico security risk preferred but not required
  • More than 15 years experience with demonstrated capacity to develop global programs, create and lead a global structure
  • Relevant association membership such as ASIS International and relevant certification. i.e., CPP certification, Corporate Information security management (CISM) certification, Safety management certification, member of the International Security Managers Association (ISMA) membership, Security Executive council membership (Tier 1), OSAC, etc.

  • Fluent English preferred. Other languages such as Spanish and French an asset. 

This position can be based either in Canada or USA
