Embedded Software Business Architect

We are looking for an experienced and passionate engineer in embedded software development processes to fill the position of mechatronics process architect. Reporting to the mechatronic processes lead, the candidate will play a key role in setting up a Quality Management System as well as the tools necessary for product development. The ideal candidate must have very strong skills in communication and collaborative work, and have experience in the development of embedded software as well as in the processes that support it.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Understand and document the software development processes in place.
  • Identify required improvements, based on industry best practices such as ASPICE, ISO 15504 and/or ISO 12207.
  • Identify and understand the tools required to support the capability as well as participate in the deployment and integration of these.
  • Assess needs, ensure preparation and execution of the training and integration strategy for development teams.
  • Conducting process reviews to ensure compliance and make adjustments if necessary.
  • Collaborate with other process architects to harmonize and integrate methodologies.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, computer science, software or other related field.
  • More than 7 years of experience as a developer of embedded software for motorized vehicles.
  • In-depth knowledge of the ASPICE compliance standard and/or quality management system (Iso 9001 and IATF 16949)
  • Be very comfortable in an environment where the solutions are not known and where the path is not mapped out.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders, demonstrate autonomy, initiative and have a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written in both French and English languages.
