Financial and BI Analyst (Maternity leave replacement)

We are looking for a Financial Analyst and Business Intelligence professional for a maternity leave replacement (with the possibility of extension) to join our GTS (Global Trade Services) team. You will work closely with the operations and finance departments to optimize financial flows and cost management related to imports and exports. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a constantly evolving environment. The position can be based in Valcourt or Sherbrooke.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Coordinate the preparation of budgets, and monitor costs and surcharges related to imports and exports in all regions for all our business units. (Brokerage and customs)
  • Support international units in controlling costs related to their imports.
  • Prepare and present analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs) to promote understanding of variances and gaps in the trading group’s financial and operational efficiency.
  • Initiate and participate in the management of trade cost reduction projects.
  • Support and implement required financial controls.
  • Optimize, standardize and document key financial processes.
  • Monitor payables and receivables with our partners and governments.
  • Collaborate on the development of business cases related to our growth opportunities.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • At least three (3) years of experience.
  • Advanced mastery of Excel. PowerBI would be a major asset. SQL would be an asset.
  • The ability to work with complex data and present it clearly and concisely.
  • Curiosity about new technologies.
  • An accounting designation (CPA) would be an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is essential in both spoken and written communication. Spanish would be an asset.
  • The ability to promote teamwork.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Influencing skills.
  • An analytical mind and the ability to synthesize.
  • Dynamism and initiative.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
