Functional Analyst

A functional analyst is responsible for understanding business requirements, supporting technical ecosystems, and ensuring that they meet the needs of the organization. They work closely with business stakeholders, project managers and technical experts to design, implement, and support solutions that enhance business processes and drive efficiency.
 

The functional analyst at BRP plays a pivotal role in aligning I&T solutions with business objectives, which is best achieved by having a deep understanding of both the technology and specific needs of the business they support. They act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure solutions are effectively implemented, leveraged, and continuously supported to drive business success.
 

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
 

  • Analyze and understand Solution Architecture artifacts.

  • Actively assist in materializing Solution Architecture and recommending optimal designs and practices.

  • Master all aspects of solution configuration specifics and be ready to make changes as needed.

  • Provide technical advice and coaching to support team members.

  • Carry out issue investigations and assist with problem resolution by working with support teams as needed.

  • Offer evidence-based advice and evaluations related to technology tools or programs.

  • Work closely with IT PMO (CoE) by assessing project needs and objectives.

  • Advise on the best solutions to meet requirements.

  • Analyze the interdependencies between functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Lead/assist in converting business requirements into functional solutions for projects.

  • Develop and execute test plans pertaining to technical functionalities.

  • Assist in data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaborate in the definition of solution and functional specifications.

  • Assist with DevOps by managing releases and supporting deployments.

  • Document all solution artifacts covering all aspects of a product’s lifecycle.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
 

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent in related fields.

  • At least 7 years of experience in software solutions support.

  • At least 3 years in DevOps.

  • A solid understanding of ITIL/SNOW Release Management Processes.

  • A solid understanding of functional design.

  • A solid understanding of SOAP, REST, and Bulk API.

  • SQL experience and understanding of Entity Relational Models.

  • Dev experience with knowledge of Agile methodologies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Bilingual with the ability to communicate with external, monolingual English stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership skills.
