Description
We are looking for a design lead, reporting to the project manager, to help us lead a design team that is passionate about the world of motorsports and driven by innovation. In this role, you'll have the chance to manage innovative design projects that define the very essence of BRP's reputation.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO :
Exercise a management role for all the designers in your group to ensure that the team's objectives are met.
Supervise the completion of design activities according to best practices, such as technical drawings, bills of materials, digital mock-ups and other documentation.
Ensure the professional development of each member of your team.
Collaborate with the various sectors to ensure product development and on-time delivery of tooling and components.
Monitor and establish KPIs in line with departmental objectives.
Advise and contribute to the strategies and orientations of your department with a view to constant evolution.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
DEC in mechanical engineering or other relevant fields.
Minimum 10 years' relevant design experience.
Good oral and written communication skills in French and English. English is required as the person will have to read technical and regulatory documentation not available in French, as well as communicate with international suppliers.
Good knowledge of design technologies and methodologies.
Good command of Catia V5 and Smarteam.
Interest and aptitude for team management.
Excellent leadership, organizational and priority management skills.
