Description
We are looking for an e-Commerce technical manager who will report to the DCX development engineering manager and be responsible for a team of e-commerce developers. In this position, you will be responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of BRP’s e-commerce front-end and back-end application, as well as coaching and leading the development team.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Assume responsibility for executing technical e-commerce projects and managing development teams (in-house and partners).
- Develop and maintain a customer-oriented digital e-commerce platform.
- Develop and maintain interfaces with other e-commerce systems (payment gateway, order processing platform, SAP, etc.).
- Collaborate with project managers, product managers, IT, BA and UX teams to continuously improve traffic acquisition, conversion and retention.
- Write unit and functional tests in automated test environments to guarantee code quality.
- Build functional prototypes of applications to demonstrate their value to stakeholders.
- Convert user stories into development tasks and provide accurate estimates.
- Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle, including discovery, estimation, sprint planning, delivery and post-release support.
- Set deadlines for goals and objectives, and hold individuals and teams accountable for results.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience with e-commerce platforms is required.
- Experience with Magento and Magento Cloud CLI is required.
- Knowledge of the Adobe Experience Cloud and eCommerce stack.
- Solid experience in PHP and/or Java.
- Excellent knowledge of front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React and Vue.
- Experience in API creation, consumption and design (Rest, GraphQL).
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, MariaDB and MongoDB.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proven experience in prioritizing your own work.
- Good problem-solving skills.
