Mechatronics Project Engineer ATV

We are looking for a Mechatronics Project Engineer to report to the Team Leader - Can-Am ATV Engineering.
Your primary mandate will be to lead the design, development and validation of electrical and mechatronic systems for a range of recreational vehicle products.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Develop the vehicle's electrical and functional architecture and integrate mechatronic modules and functions.
  • Write technical requirement documents for the development of mechatronic parts, electrical systems and software by internal and external suppliers.
  • Develop and execute test plans required to validate technical solutions, taking into account established norms and standards.
  • Carry out the necessary validations for electronic module software and calibrate mechatronic functions.
  • Coordinate the assembly, diagnosis and validation of prototype vehicles.
  • Guide the work of technicians and designers to achieve development objectives.
  • Take part in production start-up on the assembly line, solve network problems and follow up with suppliers.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering or equivalent.
  • Good understanding and ability to integrate electrical, electronic, software and mechatronic principles.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and to innovate.
  • At ease in an environment where technical solutions are not known, where the path is not mapped out.
  • Autonomous, responsible, resourceful and a good team player.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English (written and spoken). English is required in order to read technical documentation available in English only and communicate with partners and suppliers based abroad.
