North-America Distribution Director, PA&A

We are looking for a PA&A distribution director who will report to the global director of PA&A distribution & logistics. You will be responsible for defining and executing the distribution strategy across Canada and the USA for BRP’s parts, accessories and apparel division. Working closely with multiple stakeholders, internal customers and regional leaders, you will oversee developing and delivering operational excellence to our customers across the region in line with the supply chain strategy.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Support the PA&A growth plan and customer value proposition (50%)

  • Ensure thought leadership for the PA&A distribution operations in collaboration with our 3PL partners.
  • Deliver on our customer promises in line with BRP brand positioning in an evolving competitive landscape.
  • Establish a network of value-added external partners to develop best practices and concepts to the business.
  • Maintain a strong connection with the PA&A commercial leadership team to anticipate future business needs.
  • Develop capacity capabilities to support known and unknown growth.
  • Optimize North American footprint leveraging a hub and spoke strategy.
  • Adapt PA&A operational practices to enable growth levers like B2C and lae customization.

Distribution Cost and Working Capital Optimization (30%)

  • Partner with BRP’s 3rd party logistic partners to optimize warehouse efficiency; both cost and service.
  • Optimize the inventory and space requirements by collaborating and influencing stakeholders on forecasting, eliminating excess stock, and reducing lead-times while maintaining proper customer service level.
  • Promote continuous improvement mindset to support the lean pillar of BRP mission.
  • Stay connected with industry trends in distribution and logistics.

Ensure efficient performance monitoring and promote best practices worldwide (20%)

  • Manage the budget/forecasts process and implement cost mitigation strategies when needed.
  • Define and improve standardized KPIs across North American sites including Service Level Agreements with 3PLs.
  • Establish a governance mechanism connecting all operations leaders in North America.
  • Monitor 3PL performance against contractual requirements and make proper adjustments where required;

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor in operations management, logistics, engineering or in a relevant field. MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in distribution management in similar industries (automotive, consumer goods, service parts, etc.)
  • Proven leader of significant optimization projects and associated system implementations.
  • Strong experience directing in a 3rd party logistics environment.
  • SAP Knowledge/Experience in EWM & TM. Experience with IM, MM, & SD a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the motor sports industry as it relates to distribution and logistics.
  • Bilingual French / English a plus.
  • Customer in focused mindset seeing the PA&A supply chain as a key enabler of differentiation.
  • Recognized ability to operationalize strategic plans to achieve the desired company goals.
  • Capable to efficiently communicate and promote ideas to various levels of the organization including top executives.
  • Love what you do. Seen as a strong & passionate leader with a focus on people, organizational development, relationship building and change management.
  • Known to have strong governances including BSC's and KPI's management that tie back into the strategic planning cycle.
  • Recognized ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.

The selected candidate will work from the south shore of Montreal. Monthly trips to Sherbrooke may be requested. Some travelling is required to support international operations and footprint expansion projects.
