Platform Administrator, IT Automation Services

We are looking for an agile, collaboration and development toolset administrator who will report to the automation services manager, and who’ll be tasked with the administration of the platforms that allows to automate the management of the IT infrastructure lifecyle, reduce unnecessary manual tasks and helps organize Agile teams. As part of your role, you’ll be contributing to the transformation of the IT activities within the organization. You’ll be part of the team that bears the responsibility of providing dynamic tools that help accelerate the delivery of requests and business value, while maintaining and preserving stability, security and compliance.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Implement and maintain automation and agile platforms for BRP.
  • Monitor the stability & availability as well as capacity & performance of the platforms.
  • Develop and recommend service and process improvements.
  • Manage the lifecycle of services, projects, add-ons, plugins, and extensions.
  • Prepare capacity & license planning for the long-term requirements.
  • Coordinate the delivery and integrations with other systems, infrastructure, and application services from the other teams.
  • Collaborate with the application, development, infrastructure, architecture, cybersecurity and compliance teams to establish, communicate and promote best practices for the usage of the platforms.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 to 5 years experience with the administration of Atlassian Tools (JIRA, JSM, Confluence, BitBucket, Plugins), Infrastructure as Code platforms and tools (ex: Terraform, Chef, Ansible), Azure Automation Platforms (ex: Power Apps, Power Automate), Active Directory and SSO Authentication.
  • Strong programming experience in Python, Ruby and/or Go (or other pertinent languages) to allow to management of platforms in “As Code” approach.
  • Solid understanding of application architectures and cloud technologies.
  • Ability to operate in an environment subject to regulatory compliance (ex: SOX, PCI, EMV, etc.).
  • Experience working with development methods such as pipelines, repository managers and code review tools and GitOps.
  • Experience with other monitoring and observability tools (ie: Logs, Perfmon).
  • Knowledge of governance and CyberSecurity best practices (ex: RBAC).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues (onPrem or in Cloud (SaaS)) while being able to identify the root cause of problems and propose long-term solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to summarize technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests in parallel while respecting commitments and expectations.
  • Speak French and intermediate level of English, to allow for technical discussions with suppliers that are mainly from US or English parts of Canada.
