Project Coordinator

We’re looking for a project coordinator to be the cornerstone of our project management methodology. In addition to assisting project leads in building their project management plans, this person will support our group in selecting and prioritizing our many initiatives. They will also be responsible for preparing our project dashboard, which is shared with management to communicate progress and help resolve issues. The project coordinator will also be responsible for capital expenditure forecasts with managers.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Ensure that projects are successfully completed in accordance with the strategic objectives of the organization and/or business unit.
  • Help the team plan resource requirements.
  • Support project leads in:
    - clarifying project charters.
    - adapting their project governance.
    - managing project interdependencies.
    - reporting to the promoter and steering committees.
    - presenting the project to various committees.
    - preparing and presenting the project at different stages, for phase transitions.
  • Carry out preliminary assessments to help the organization make decisions.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or another related field.
  • Five to seven years of experience in project management.
  • Recognized certification in project management would be an asset.
  • Experience managing logistics projects would be an asset.
  • The ability to apply operational excellence principles.
  • Good knowledge of business, operational and corporate processes.
  • Experience working in matrix environments.
  • The ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or in English on a daily basis.
