Description
Reporting to the IS&T COE product management team lead, the functional analyst is responsible for translating business analyses made by business analysts into technical roadmaps detailing the designs, configurations, installations or updates needed, and participating in new technology-based business solutions.
The position requires extensive functional and technical expertise, excellent communication skills and business acumen. The incumbent will work closely with clients, architects, the development team and managers.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Provide advice and fact-based assessments related to technological tools or programs.
Evaluate the needs and objectives of the product management tower.
Provide guidance as to the best solutions to fulfill the requirements.
Employ data analytics and research to provide recommendations and design configurations.
Issue investigations.
Support deployment.
Optimize application design.
Develop/document AS IS and TO BE Solution Specification for team members to work from.
Provide technical guidance and mentor support team members.
Translate business requirements into specific PLM solutions for complex projects.
Author functional specs to document all detailed implementation information.
Analyze interdependencies between functional and non-functional requirements.
Manage PM tower software purchases and renewals.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills.
The ability to function well in a fast-paced collaborative environment, and apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to complex production environment scenarios to ensure high availability.
The ability to demonstrate your strong troubleshooting and analytical skills through architecture and design discussions across technologies, critical escalation support, and mentoring others in your ownership area.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze live-site issues quickly.
Prior practical experience with change control, source control, and release management.
Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ability to understand and capture requirements as you will participate in solution discussions, and evaluate and propose solution approaches.
The ability to collaborate with technical and business teams to determine the details and value of solutions.
The ability to handle business expectations across project cycles.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a similar technical discipline and 3+ years of professional experience with Siemens Teamcenter system and/or Dassault Smarteam administration experience; or 5+ years of professional experience with Teamcenter and/or Smarteam system administration without a degree.
3+ years of professional experience with IT operating systems, networking, and system administration (specifically Windows, Linux, Virtual Server, VMware, MS Azure).
3+ years of professional experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Willing to travel on rare occasions.
Willing to work after core business hours and on weekends.
Willing to be on call 24/7 to address any business-critical issues.
