Tax Compliance Manager

We are looking for a tax compliance manager who will be responsible for BRP's tax compliance for North America and who will ensure the proper functioning of this sector. In this capacity,you must ensure that the Canadian and US legal entities of BRP are in compliance with their tax legislation. In your role, you must monitor the evolution of the various tax legislations and determine and communicate the impacts or opportunities for BRP. You will actively participate in the research and implementation of strategies to mitigate the negative impacts of these changes or to benefit from opportunities. 

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Manage the tax compliance process for Canadian and US companies.
  • Ensure the preparation and review of the Canadian and US research and development claims in collaboration with the engineering department.
  • Be responsible for the preparation, review and approval of the quarterly income tax provision for BRP’s Canadian and US legal entities, including the tax expense payable and deferred.
  • Identify and document tax risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Manage tax audits under his/her responsibility.
  • Analyze current processes and develop and implement continuous improvement solutions.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 

  • Recognized professional title in accounting.
  • Master's degree in taxation or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Bilingual (French and English) to communicate with our external partners outside the province and country.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance.
  • Good management of priorities and respect of deadlines.

The chosen candidate may be located at the company's office in downtown Montreal or Valcourt in the Eastern Townships.
