Buffalo Trail Public Schools requires a full-time probationary teacher at J. R. Robson School for the remainder 2024-2025 school year.

Specific position details:

End Date: June 27, 2025

Location: J.R. Robson School, Vermilion, Alberta

Subject Areas:

Grade 7-12 Physical Education and/or

Health and CTS courses

Please note: The final assignment will be dependent on the successful candidate's strengths and training

T he successful candidate will possess the following:

Experience teaching secondary physical education

Experience teaching CTS courses, Health, and other general secondary courses

Possess a strong background in organizing tournaments and managing sports teams is an asset

Possess or be willing to obtain a Class 2 drivers license and S Endorsement

Willing to obtain certification to support the physical education program (Eg. Paddle Canada Intro Moving Water Instructor Certification)

A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment

Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential

Possess a strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning

Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professional relationships with students

Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting

Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectiveness as an educator

A willingness to participate in extracurricular activities would be considered an asset
