THE ROLEKeep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs.
Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
Under the supervision of Community Aquatics and Recreation Coordinator, the Assistant Skating Instructor assists in planning, organizing and delivering skating classes. They demonstrate and assist with instructing skating activities and techniques. They will assemble supplies and equipment, as required. They will attend to clients with special needs.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma and some years experience conducting skating classes or Skating Teachers Certificate
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Experience
Experience In planning, organizing, and delivering skating classes
Experience In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants
Experience In ensuring safety protocols and procedures
