THE ROLE

As a Bartender/Snack Bar Attendant, you provide an excellent customer experience in our military messes, golf and curling operations and marinas. During big events to every day moments, you will build a rapport with the military community and get to experience various military traditions.

The Bartender/Snack Bar Attendant will provide a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, preparing food and assisting in the set-up and take down of social and military functions. You will operate a Point of Sales system, provide a clean bar area and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

An acceptable combination of education, training and experience will also be considered

Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (Quebec)

Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Quebec)

Food Handling Certification, as required

Experience

In food and beverage preparation

In food and beverage service

In serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks

In cash handling

In preparing bank deposits and floats

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

CAF Messes: Offer expertise in management, operational and hospitality services as part of the team that oversees military messes throughout Canada and the world. The military mess is the centre of social life for serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces, where customs, responsibilities and social standards are practiced. Messes are steeped in rich military heritage and tradition. The mess includes food as a central component of events and camaraderie. Personnel Support Program (PSP) Hospitality Services and management are pinnacle to their success.
