THE ROLEAs Editor you will plan, organize and manage the content, style, editing and layout of the journal. You will ensure coverage of local events and news operations in liaison with base units and especially with PAOs and the imaging section. You will contact as many people as possible, enquire about other CAF publications, and also foreign press material. You will ensure the integration of the newspaper and the various communications across social media and in collaboration with corporate services and the independent sales representative ensure the advertising content
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelors’ degree in Journalism, Communications or a related discipline AND some years of experience
OR
College diploma or certificate in Journalism, Administration, Communications, or related discipline AND several years of experience
Experience
In planning, organizing and coordinating newspaper publications
In writing and editing newspaper stories
In project management
In personnel administration
In desktop publishing tools, software and applications
In applying policies, procedures and regulations
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

OTHER INFORMATIONThis is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
PSP: Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
