THE ROLE

Join our team as a Groundsperson, where you will be the steward of our acclaimed military golf operations. With your keen eye and expert care, you will preserve the beauty of our golf course, from vibrant greens and fairways to meticulously maintained flowerbeds.

Your versatile role will include everything from horticulture and landscaping to assisting in the repair and construction of course features. Under guidance, you will also aid in turf treatment and irrigation system operation. Your commitment to detail will ensure all our structures, equipment and surrounding areas remain in pristine condition.

You will also contribute to team growth by assisting in training new members, all while upholding the highest safety standards. If you find joy in transforming outdoor spaces and thriving in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, this role awaits you.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience

Valid Provincial Pesticide Applicator License for Alberta

A valid Alberta Driver’s License

Experience

In landscaping or grounds maintenance

In operating specialized turf care equipment

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

English Essential / Bilingual an asset

Reading: Basic

Writing: Basic

Oral: Basic

Hours of Work:

Seasonal Operation of Golf Course (season expected to run until end of October).

Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg).
