THE ROLEUnder the supervision of the Community Recreation Supervisor, the Gymnastics Coach identifies strengths and weaknesses of athletes. They plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions. They nurture and develop athletes' potential skills and abilities. The Gymnastics Coach develops, plans and coordinates competitive schedules and programs. They motivate and prepare athletes for competitive events.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High School diploma and some years of experience in coaching
Current National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 1 in Women’s Gymnastics
Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
High Five: Principles of Healthy Child Development certificate
Experience
In coaching gymnastics
In planning, developing and implementing training and practice sessions
In preparing athletes or teams for competitive events
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.
