THE ROLEThe Internal Communications Officer coordinates and assists with the execution of Internal Communications strategies. They are responsible for day-to-day tasks with a focus on developing and distributing internal communications materials across multiple channels including the employee intranet. They work closely with the Internal Communications Manager and key stakeholders to create engaging, consistent and impactful content that is aligned with the organization’s goals. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent writing skills and is experienced in implementing internal communications plans.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field and several years of experience in communications or a related field
Experience
In initiating, developing, and executing communication plans
In producing a wide range of communication products including publications, brochures, presentations, and web content
In working with an employee Intranet
In writing and updating web/intranet content
In preparing reports, updates, analysis and evaluation of communication strategies and tactics
In applying policies, procedures and regulations
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTSBilingual (English and French) Essential

OTHER INFORMATIONThis is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
