THE ROLEAs a Kitchen Supervisor, you provide an excellent customer experience in our military messes, golf, curling and marinas operations.
The Kitchen Supervisor will provide a variety of services such as planning and organizing day-to-day operations, food production and service. You will monitor, control inventory and ensure proper storage and rotation of food products to comply with health department regulations. You will supervise staff; prepare employee work schedules, train staff in job duties and follow sanitation and safety procedures. You will prepare, cook and serve food while ensuring quality productions and services are being provided.

Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma, certificate or apprenticeship in hospitality, food service management, or in a related field AND some years experience in hospitality, food and beverage service or a related field
OR High school diploma AND several years experience in hospitality, food and beverage service, or in a related field
Food Handling Certification, as required
Experience
In safe food handling practices and procedures
In applying policies, procedures and regulations
In food preparation techniques, methods and procedures
In cooking, baking, and food preparation techniques, methods and procedures
In calculating and controlling food costs
In personnel administration
In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing
