THE ROLEAs a Mess Supervisor (Hospitality Supervisor), you provide an excellent customer experience in our military messes. During big events to every day moments, you will build a rapport with the military community while utilizing your operational and hospitality experience. Military messes are places where Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members come together to socialize and foster morale.
The Mess Supervisor (Hospitality Supervisor) provides hands-on assistance in planning, organizing, supervising mess activities, bar service and mess operations. You will supervise and train employees, prepare work schedules and ensure their accuracy for payroll. You will ensure strict requirements for health, hygiene and safety. You will interact directly with clientele, taking orders and assisting with set up and take down of functions.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND several years of experience in the food and beverage service, or a related hospitality field
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (Ontario)
Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Ontario)
Valid Driver’s Licence (Ontario), an asset
Experience
In providing hospitality and bar operations services
In budget administration
In cash handling
In preparing bank deposits and floats
In event planning and organizing
In inventory control
In personnel administration
