THE ROLESince its inception, Hylands Golf Club has matured into a top-quality golf facility that offers a full range of service and amenities to its 1200 members and their guests. A true jewel among Canadian Forces golf facilities, Hylands continues to host numerous regional, national and international events. As part of CFMWS, our mandate is to provide affordable golf to our local military personnel and their families.
As a Pro Shop Attendant, your role is at the heart of our golf operations. Under the guidance of the Manager, Golf Operations, you will be the first touchpoint for our guests, greeting them warmly, answering inquiries and advising on golf course conditions and regulations. Using our advanced booking system, you will expertly arrange tee times, making sure our guests' experiences are seamless from the outset.
Your role extends to the commercial aspect of our operations, as you will handle sales transactions for daily green fees, equipment rentals and Pro Shop merchandise. With precision and integrity, you will manage cash deposits, perform refunds, and process returns.
Your focus on service also means maintaining the highest standards for our equipment and facilities. This includes washing range balls, ensuring adequate supplies for the next day's play, cleaning and storing golf clubs and preparing golf carts to meet our guests' needs.
As an Attendant, you will also engage directly with our guests by distributing golf clubs, assisting with loading golf bags, managing rental equipment, and clearly explaining our borrowing procedures. OTHER INFORMATIONThis is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
This is a seasonal position. The anticipated annual season is April - October.
This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the UFCW local 175 bargaining unit for CFMWS Category I employees at CFSG Ottawa-Gatineau.
