THE ROLEUnder the direction of the Manager Compliance and Assurance, the Senior Analyst, Compliance and Assurance plans, coordinates and executes accounting compliance reviews. They ensure auditees are following specific procedures and/or rules set down within Non-Public Funds (NPF) accounting policies, such as procedures prescribed for stocktaking and inventory checks. They advise and recommend corrective action when current practices are not consistent with established policies or fail to provide necessary controls. They develop programs and instructions to perform compliance reviews. They identify employees to assist in the compliance process and provide the required training to perform compliance audit tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field AND several years experience in auditing, or a related field
AND
Accounting designation such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified General Accountant (CGA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Internal Audit designation, an asset

OTHER INFORMATIONThis is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
