THE ROLE

CFMWS is looking for an outcome-oriented and business-driven IM/IT leader who will be at the forefront of driving technology innovation at CFMWS. Their strategic mindset, analytical capabilities and passion for technology innovation will be instrumental in shaping CFMWS’s technological future.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Technology Innovation Framework, including initiative intake, prioritization, execution and monitoring. Working closely with vendors and other business units, they will oversee the delivery of all technological Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Proof of Value (POVs) initiatives and provide recommendations on their adoption.

The ideal candidate is a passionate technology leader who thinks strategically and long-term while focusing on individual POCs/POVs. They love technology, learn constantly, and embrace change. They are a creative problem-solver who enjoys doing hands-on work side by side with vendors, IT professionals and business stakeholders. They are very well organized and experienced in managing IT initiatives from start to finish. Effective communicator, they excel working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with the CFMWS stakeholders and external partners. They quickly adapt to changes and seamlessly transition from one initiative to another without losing tempo.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field AND several years of experience in a related field.

In application configuration, development, implementation and support

In software development and web technologies

In building and maintaining roadmaps and releases

In project management

In quality assurance, user acceptance testing methodologies and best practices

In contract/vendor management and consulting services

In understanding, researching, and delivering business requirements and strategy

In budget administration

In personnel administration

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English or French Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset

OTHER INFORMATION

This position is a one-year term.

You may be eligible to receive a Scarce Skills Premium for this position as outlined in the IT Scarce Skills Compensation Agreement.

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.

The selection process will be done virtually.
