THE ROLE

The Senior Manager, PSP plans, coordinates, manages and controls the activities and delivery of Personnel Support Programs (PSP), including hospitality (Mess), physical fitness, sports, recreation, health promotion, golf course, military housing and community services programs, events and activities.

The Senior Manager, PSP is responsible for the management and administration of personnel and program delivery for the teams located in the national capital region for CFSG Ottawa-Gatineau including the financial oversight of various funds. They liaise and partners with other divisions of CFMWS. They also participate in the development and implementation of local policies and guidelines. They ensure that programs contribute to the needs of the community and operational readiness of the CAF. They provide technical and financial advice on PSP operations to senior military officers.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Physical Education, Recreation, or Health Promotion, AND several years of management experience in a related field.

In planning, managing, controlling and evaluating the operations and delivery of multi-business operations
In providing advice and guidance

In business and strategic planning

In financial administration
In budget administration
In personnel administration
In writing, interpreting and applying policies, procedures, regulations and applicable legislations.
In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsing

OTHER INFORMATION

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
