THE ROLEUnder the supervision of Travel Services Manager, the Travel Assistant initiates TravelXpert claim for travelers. They book, confirm and record all flight through AMEX for NPF personnel. They book, confirm and record hotel/accommodation reservations for NPF personnel. They ensure accurate file management and reporting. In addition, they assist with set up of accommodation for participants, facilities, catering, special needs requirements, audio-visual equipment for national, regional or divisional conferences.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND several years of experience in Tourism and Travel
Experience
In organizing and planning for travel services
In providing travel information to clients regarding destinations, transportation and accommodation
In office administration
In maintaining filing systems
In data entry, data manipulation, record-keeping and retrieval techniques
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
Skills and Abilities

OTHER INFORMATION
This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
