Working closely with the Office Projects Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work on renovation and constructions projects within our office spaces. You will gain valuable experience in the design process from initial planning, to construction drawings through to construction completion of projects.

You will contribute to the success of Canadian Natural’s operations by assisting with various project initiative such as inventory audits, reception and mailroom coverage.

  • Work schedule: 5 x 2 - 8 hours (Monday - Friday)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and update Calgary office space architectural, electrical, and mechanical as-built drawings to ensure they are up-to-date and consistent
  • Prepare architectural and construction drawings for potential construction projects for Calgary and field office projects
  • Design audio visual layouts for upgrades to the Canadian Natural meeting rooms
  • Site visits both in Calgary and field locations to perform site measurements and information gathering ahead of construction projects
  • Learn the design process from start to finish through initial planning and concept, through the design development, and finally onto the construction phase
  • Oversee and coordinate with trades on small office project
  • Provide design ideas for workplace efficiency, employee satisfaction, and company growth
  • Provide a design resource to the department through help in selecting products and finishes
  • Update and maintain design manuals, specifications, CAD standards

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Currently enrolled in 2nd year or higher of an Interior Design, Architectural Technology or related program
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous project management experience would be an asset
  • Experience in the preparation of construction drawings
  • Knowledge of office interior construction is required
