The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Business Analysis to lead a team of contract business analysts. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and developing a team of business analysts who support various projects across the organization. You will ensure that the team delivers high-quality analysis, fosters collaboration with stakeholders, and drives successful project outcomes.

Areas of focus

People & Process Management

  • Lead and manage a team of contract business analysts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them achieve the project goals.

  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in business analysis practices within the team.

  • Conduct interviews, select candidates, hire, and onboard new contract Business Analysts based on project needs.

  • Oversee resource allocation, ensuring that the right analysts are assigned to the right projects based on the needs of the project, and the skills of the Business Analysts.

  • Track contract durations, prepare for and manage upcoming contract terminations, and handle extensions, reallocations, and offboarding as needed.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the business analysis team and key stakeholders, including project managers, product owners, and senior management.

  • Ensure that stakeholder expectations are clearly understood, communicated, and met by the business analysis team.

Project Delivery:

  • Oversee the successful delivery of business analysis services for projects, ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards identified in our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and are aligned with business objectives.

  • Review and approve key project documents, including business requirements, functional requirements, process maps, and transfer to operations documents.

  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of business analyst activities.

Performance Management:

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business analysis team to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

  • Assist in the ongoing development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Requirements Management, and Business Analysis knowledge base, through our Confluence and Jira platform.

Successful incumbent
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) would be a plus.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.

  • Proven experience in managing and developing a team of business analysts.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, including experience with Agile frameworks.

  • Previous experience in contract/consultancy work would be a plus.

  • Strong understanding of the banking industry and its regulatory environment would be a plus.
