The opportunity

CWB Maxium is on the search for an experienced professional, who brings strong knowledge and skills when it comes to credit writing, financial statement analysis, and loan/lease structuring.

Do you have a strong work ethic, risk management experience and healthcare lending experience? We are looking for someone who can provide outstanding service and responsiveness within CWB Maxium’s business line functions of credit underwriting, loan applications and recurring credit review processes. In this individual contributor role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills so you may hit new personal and professional achievements, all while tackling new challenges and career development opportunities to reach your career dreams.

Areas of focus

Credit Structuring: Analyze, discuss and recommend terms and conditions of credit applications and related matters with sales and large deal review committee. Structure complex transactions with size ranging $2.5 MM to $10MM and large connections within the healthcare vertical

Risk management: Utilize your risk management skills to ensure compliance with various first-line risk management functions, workflows and policies of the CWB Maxium business divisions, including data integrity, portfolio quality and approval requirements.

Relationship builder. Demonstrated ability to build and foster relationships with management, employees, and partners to improve integrity and efficiency.

Support: Prepare annual credit reviews on an assigned healthcare portfolio. Review amendments seeking approval to modify the original transaction security or other credit conditions while ensuring required reports and financial data are received and analyzed promptly in accordance with loan commitments.

Lifelong Learner. The ongoing, voluntary, and self-motivated pursuit of knowledge.

Successful incumbent
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of proven experience in credit risk management, preferably in the healthcare industry

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data

  • Excellent knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies and financial models

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to strictly adhere to deadlines

  • Ability to competently determine creditworthiness and make sound credit decisions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work together with colleagues and partners from both within and outside the organization.

  • Ability to successfully implement credit risk management strategies and initiatives

  • Proficiency in financial analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Understanding regulatory requirements and industry standards in credit risk management
