We offer a variety of products, including flexible alternative mortgage solutions, for clients who may not fit within traditional guidelines, including those who are self-employed, commissioned or with bruised credit.

Mortgage Renewals are the passion of this team. This role is the perfect gateway into the mortgage world. We strive to deliver the best service and mortgage advice experience to our clients and partners daily. Relationships are key to each open discovery conversations with clients to determine a personalized solution on mortgage needs. We partner with other partners within Canadian Western Bank provide a full-service approach to each client.

Areas of focus

Renewals! Renewals and More Renewals! You are Responsible for proactive client contact of approximately 100 renewals per month, you will need to exemplify an outstanding and efficient service to all Optimum Mortgage clients. Love being a part of a team? Great! With the Mortgage Retention team, we support one another in handling pricing inquiries, credit bureau reports and internal volume reporting. Together, ensuring all mortgage renewal landmarks are achieved, and required portfolio activities are completed within team timelines.

  • Sales focused. You have a strong Sales mentality, with outstanding consultation and dispute management skills
  • Communication. Excellent verbal and written skills with a passion for building relationships and working with a diverse workforce.
  • Adaptable. Identify and respond to changes in the business environment, establishing action plans to address customer issues and priorities.
  • Self-motivated. Ability to prioritize and meet targets in a high-risk and lively department. Proven experience producing high quality work, while working independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Technically Savvy with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.

Who we’re looking for & what you’ve done

Education

  • Business Administration Diploma/Degree or relevant work experience

Professional Experience

  • 2- 3 years sales experience in the financial services industry, or a combination of sales, mortgage administration, and/or customer service experience.

Personal Competencies

  • Excellent sales skills
  • Above average to excellent understanding of all policies and procedures pertaining to mortgage administration.
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with other Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated experience producing high quality work, while working independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a high-risk and high-volume department
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
